Artist's Comments

Done at last. I started this project in the beginning of April, because I got this amazing book called Jewelry - Consepst and Tecnology, and there was a description of how to make filigree. So I thought I'd try it out. Well this is a lot more simple than what's in the book, but I'm satisfied. I was very anxious about the soldering, because it would be only too easy to ruin it all, when that was to be done. But the worst part was actually to make two of the same, because I had no measuers on it, and because it's just not fun to make two of the same thing.

0,4x1,2 mm Sterling silver and 5mm turquoise

Wohooo!! :boogie:
:blushes:

The Mirror of Erised, please.....
Det bliver nok ikkr lige til diadem og ringe...da jeg syntes at det var slemt nok at lave to ens øreringe. Men det glæder mig at du kan lide dem.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

GREAT work!you got them pretty close. i had to replicate a pair of filigree earings and its not easy specially when you gota replicate and have them looking the same so i know your pain. just wish i had taken a pic when i did mine. hows all the courses and so on goin?

I know that feeling..
Mass-producing stuff is almost completely against the definition of art, in my opinion!

Beautiful! :) I've been wanting to get into using a solder, but I'm so paranoid I'm going to screw the entire project up.
:iconluthienancalime:
Well this was actually a lot easier than it looks. I used the solder with the lowest melting point for the parts and then a medium to put the parts together. But the important thing is to arrange it all so you dont have too move the parts around when soldering them together.
And by the way I'm glad you like my earrings.
